THE CLASS: In this class Diane will be using a 20” x 11” x 2” decorative tray but you are free to use a different surface. She will use acrylics but oils painters are welcome too…and most skill levels, but you need to know basic rosemaling strokes. We look forward to seeing you!

Instructor: Diane Edwards. Diane Edwards is a respected teacher, artist, and mainstay of Rosemaling in the USA and is extremely knowledgeable on Rosemaling having taken classes for many years and with many famous Rosemalers. She holds a master’s in fine arts degree, and has taught many wonderful classes for a number of organizations, including ours. Diane learned about the Rococo influences in Norwegian rosemaling from Nils Ellingsgaard. She will share her knowledge with us. Additionally, she has written 6 books on Rosemaling (including collaboration with Sigmund Arseth), owns Nordic Arts Publishing, and has won numerous art awards. |
